Denver Cuello vs Ganigan Lopez at Mexico

Current WBC Silver minimumweight title holder Denver "The Excitement" Cuello of Philippines will defend his belt against the long awaited opponent  Ganigan "El Zurdo" Lopez of Mexico at Palenque de la Feria, Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico on May 19, Saturday night, May 20 Sunday morning in the Philippines.


Both fighters claimed that tomorrow will be a great and tough fight. But the Filipino boxer Denver Cuello promised that he will win before the seventh round while the Mexican believes as being a tactical fighter in the ring he could beat the Filipino known as "Little Pacquiao" in Mexico.

Cuello had trained and boxed in the gym in Philippines together with WBO flyweight champion Brian Viloria and former champion Rodel Mayol. The winner of this bout would likely to challenge the WBC minimumweight champion Kazuto Ioka of Japan.

The first straw title defense of Denver Cuello will be aired live via Fox Sports 7:00 pm Pacific Time, according to philboxing.com.
